We are a tango collective from the islands of the Paraná Delta, an hour away from the city of Buenos Aires. Born as a quintet with singer, we are a strange confluence of rivers and streams. Esteban Hecker (piano and arrangements) from arroyo Pacífico, Lucho Ortiz (bandoneón) from arroyo Torito, Violeta Bernasconi (violin) from río Angostura, Santiago Cotroneo (guitar), Santiago Tricárico (singer) from arroyo Reyes and Javier Arteaga (double bass) from barrio Flores.
When the southeast wind blows, the collective rises adding Fernando Rodriguez on his violin and Matías Rullo with his bandoneon. Marcelo Sosena is in charge of sound, Gabriela Sorbi on cameras and Julia Auzmendi on the production.
We as musicians share a common motivation and goal: to reinterpret tango respecting the genre standards while prioritizing creativity and staying away from common places. With renewed spirit we share our daily work dictated by the rythm of nature, of the ups and down of the river tides, of the mud and the reeds, of the standing and fallen trees, of the stormy weather and the sun, of the singing birds. All of this wild nature translates into a musical language and atmosphere that can go from profoundly dark to airy and dreamy.
Al La Creciente, the ocean water mixes with that ones of the Rio de la Plata, and with such we are always influenced by the musics of Horacio Salgán, Anibal Troilo, Astor Piazzolla and so many others that make part of our identity in a beautiful and unique contemporary collage.
